The Tekau's Heart Memorial Foundation, Inc. is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded in memory of our daughter and sister, Tekau Turiya Rasayon. Tekau passed away suddenly in 2012 of an Anomalous Coronary Artery (ACA), a little known heart condition. She was 17 years old.
Is to raise awareness about heart health and heart conditions, especially ACAs in teens and young adults. With the help of local sponsors and community donors, we raised $1,100 scholarships each year for accepted college candidates.
We will tentatively have our 5KRun/1KWalk in 2022 at Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro, MD to carry on our mission; and to raise funds for a memorial scholarship
in Tekau’s name.
Proceeds go towards the Tekau's Heart Memorial Scholarship, providing support in funding our annual 5KRun/1KWalk, and expanding our mission.
