RACE DAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2023

Hello All,

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic to exercise caution and consider the safety of all our participants and volunteers, we will be postponing The Tekau’s Heart 5K Run/ 1K Walk.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

 

We understand these are stressful times and wish to practice safety first and put health front and center. Supporting each other and trying to stay calm, with care in our daily actions can help promote a safe environment for all of us, as we are all united in trying to combat this pandemic and ensure the health and safety of our loved ones.

The event will tentatively be held in 2023 at Watkins Regional Park in Upper, Marlboro, MD.

We look forward to seeing you in 2023.

RACE DAY INFO:

  1. On-site Check-in
     

  2. This is a Certified USATF Course
     

  3. There will be water stations
     

  4. The proceeds from the 5K Run will go towards funding a memorial scholarship in Tekau's name for a high school senior going to college; and to help raise heart health awareness.
     

PACKET PICK-UP:

  1. You will be notified after registration for next steps

GET INVOLVED:

  1. We welcome volunteers age 16 and older.
     

  2. Volunteers below the age of 18, MUST have an adult supervisor (parent, teacher, guardian, or club director).
     

  3. All volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver, those under 18 years of age will need to have it signed off by a parent/ guardian.
     

  4. If you are volunteering to complete community service hours for school or work, please bring a form signed by the supervisor at the time you volunteer.
